motherbaby photography

motherbaby is a photography project that focuses on the intimate experiences of motherhood – pregnancy, birth, and beyond.

Born from my experience of stepping through the threshold into motherhood and craving a way to be witnessed and memorialize this sacred time, I started motherbaby as a gift to other mothers.

My goal in this work is to honor the motherbaby — the inseparable unit that is the foundational relationship of life.

While my focus is on newborn photography, I also do candid, soulful maternity and family portraits. I love to take photos of mothers with their children because so often the mother is the documentarian of the family and is missing from the photos.
